Sarajane Williams - Harpist
Harpist Sarajane Williams makes her home in Macungie, Pa. She began piano lessons at an early age and later studied harp for fifteen years with Dorothy Knauss of Allentown. She has been an active performer and teacher for many years, performing both as a soloist, and with her husband Ted in the Williams Duo.
Sarajane is a signed recording artist having released six CDs. A performance in Galway, Ireland marked the release of her solo CD In Brigit’s Garden. As a composer and arranger her music has been published by Mel Bay Publications.
Williams is also a licensed psychologist, former nurse, and pioneer in the field of harp therapy. She is the publishing editor of The Harp Therapy Journal and has authored several books and DVDs that are used by various harp therapy training programs. Sarajane has been a featured presenter at American Harp Society National Conferences, World Harp Conferences, and Somerset Folk Harp Conferences. In addition she has served on the faculty of Cedar Crest College as a harp instructor.
